What does SURFIX do?
SURFIX restores damaged surfaces — glass, aluminium and metal, natural stone, wood, elevators and facades. Our clients include insurers, architects, general contractors, construction companies, property managers, shop owners, private individuals and more. The method restores the damaged element instead of replacing it and saves up to 70 % of the cost of installing a new panel.
What types of glass can be restored?
Scratches can be removed from tempered and standard clear glass, as well as from single and double glazing units.
Do you offer a complete service?
Yes. We specialise in:
Where is the method used?
On all glass surfaces: shop windows, sliding doors, glass facades, glass partitions and glazing. We also restore windows of trains, trams and buses, display cases and mirrors — from private homes, banks and offices to industrial buildings, hotels, ships and construction sites.
Does the glass get thinner during treatment?
The permissible tolerance of nominal glass thickness is defined by standards. A typical scratch depth is far smaller than this tolerance, so polishing has practically no effect on the flatness of the panel. [Standard and exact values — to be verified]
Do optical effects occur?
The method rules out optical defects in the form of distortion: we transition methodically from the treated surface to untreated areas. The treatment is invisible to the ordinary observer and complies with construction standards for assessing the visual quality of glass.
